T-Minus One Day to Paleo

T minus one day
Starting weight: 218. This is a bit higher than I have been weighing in lately, which I largely ascribe to my retaining water from a carb splurge detailed below. I've been consistently weighing in between 210 and 215 for the past few months. My hopes is that this little extra weight will make my final number all that much more impressive...we shall see.

Tomorrow I begin my 1 month of strict paleo eating. As a last hurrah, I ate terribley last night. Finished off a bag of tator tots with dinner last night, had tacos with corn tortillas, half of a chocolate cake from Trader Joes and half a bottle of wine split with the wifey. What was I thinking? Starting tomorrow, no more sugar, no more grains, no more dairy. Today I am easing into it with a pseudo-paleo approach, allowing some dairy. This is mostly because I had some Greek yogurt and whole cream left in the fridge at work that I don't want to go to waste. Here is the break-down for today:

Food
Breakfast
Whole-fat greek yogurt with a handful of blueberries

Lunch
Homemade lamb curry. Very good. A banana.

Dinner
Pork chops with a roasted red pepper and olive sauce on a bed of sauteed cabbage. Yummy.

Late-night snack of cheddar cheese and a bottle of wine. My last foray into dairy and alcohol.

Sleep
I got about 6.5 hours last night. Shooting to get as close to 8 as possible, which has always proven to be very hard for me.

Exercise
Went to the gym at lunch, upper body today. Not my best day, feeling pretty drained. Thanks tator tots.
